Nicole’s Story: Sharing Breast Cancer Information to Help Find Cures

In December 2023, actress Nicole Eggert, star of television shows “Charles in Charge” and “Baywatch,” was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive cribriform carcinoma, a hormone driven rare form of breast cancer. Her treatment has included chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy

Nicole is now sharing her story, in hopes of encouraging others to take their health seriously. “For my mental health journey, I didn’t want to keep anything quiet,” she said. “Talking about my experience is a way to give back.”

Recently, Nicole joined Komen’s ShareForCures, a breast cancer research registry that connects researchers with information from people who have or had breast cancer. “I’m open to anything research-related,” she said. “The way we’re going to get cures is by doctors and scientists having information, having data, having something tangible to work with. Research is how you get to a cure and solutions.”
