Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced that the 2022 Los Angeles MORE THAN PINK Walk will be held at L.A. Live, the premiere sports and entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles across from the STAPLES Center at the intersection of Olympic Blvd. and Figueroa St. L.A. Live will be able to offer an expansive, family-friendly space for Walk participants to safely gather.
This is the first MORE THAN PINK Walk in two years and will be held for the first time at L.A. Live on Saturday, October 8.
“We are excited to return in-person for the first time in two years and welcome walk participants in downtown LA in a new location. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide a community for anyone who has been impacted by breast cancer. Whether you are in treatment, celebrating survivorship, or a family member, friend or loved one, we hope you will join us in October and be part of our collective efforts to end breast cancer forever,” said Courtney Jurado, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County.
“We welcome all the members of our breast cancer community honoring friends, family and anyone who has been impacted by the disease,” said Jurado. “The 2022 Komen Los Angeles County MORE THAN PINK Walk is about making strides toward curing breast cancer and the funds raised through registered participants and sponsorships will give more individuals who have been impacted by the disease access to resources and the support they need now.”
LA County’s MORE THAN PINK WALK kicks off with The Power of ONE Week – a week’s worth of events to honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer – beginning on September 26, 2022. A schedule of in-person and virtual events and additional details will be announced soon.
