Local Gentlemen Raise Critical Funds for Breast Cancer Research, Patient Services
Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, is looking for leaders across New England who are passionate about making a difference in their community to join the Pink Tie Guys program. Pink Tie Guys play a critical role in Komen’s efforts to end breast cancer forever by raising funds for groundbreaking research and programs that support patients now.
“I am so honored once again to help raise support for the Susan G Komen Foundation fight against breast cancer. This is my 5th year as a Pink Tie Guy and I am committed to work toward ending this awful disease. I lost my mother on Mother’s Day 2021 to breast cancer. She fought hard for 20 years, and I am super proud of her. While I miss her terribly, I am focused on doing everything possible to help extend the lives of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and also prevent it from occurring,” said Kristoffer Popovitch, Senior Director, Central Region, Hartford Healthcare.
Pink Tie Guys are professional, community leaders and fathers, husbands, brothers and sons who want to support Komen’s mission to save lives. As part of their commitment, they raise a minimum of $500 per year.
Gentlemen interested in participating can contact Meg Staubley at mstaubley@komen.org.
