My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 45 years old. It was hard to understand what she was going through. I and my grandfather who is now deceased thought the best thing that we could do was be there for her. Through radiation and chemo and her loss of hair we were both there every step of the way. My mother is now 70 years old and has been cancer free. Because of her and her strong will and encouragement I am glad that I am the fighter I am today.
