My mom passed away rapidly and unexpectedly in 1995 from cancer. I was crushed and promised myself that I would find a way to fight this terrible disease, for her, for all who are fighting, and for those who lost their struggle. Reading the new magazine, “Golf for Women” later that year, I saw the first ad for the first Rally for the Cure. I knew that I had found the way! 37 Rallies later at my 2 clubs, and still counting, I am honoring her memory and truly feel that perhaps, just perhaps, I am making a difference!
