Strong willed and powerful
My mother JoAnn Sewell or my Jo is what I called her she was a strong woman and through it all I never saw her cry or break instead of me being her supporter she held all of us together and when asked all she would say is nothing but God. My mother had a pain in her breast and when she got to the Dr they said it was nothing until she got her yearly check up done and it was a lump she let them do a biopsy and found out it was a rare type of cancer found in her breast I couldnt believe it when she told me ten she went through chemo she said her hair just started falling out she couldn’t work so I moved back home my sisters were in school and I didn’t want my dad to have the burden so the first time I saw her she had just bought a new wig when she pulled the scarf off I just broke down crying she told me don’t do that I’m gonna beat this and i was so scared she would have good and bad days had people she met in therapy dying but again she was strong and thank god she went in remission but it scarred her she wouldnt get in another shower for fear of her hair falling out. My Jo was a strong woman raised 4 children and beat cancer she died in 2018 I miss her a lot she was my best friend and kept all of us together I love you my Jo/mommy.
