Forever changed

November 12, 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma breast cancer. I never saw it coming but who ever does. Suddenly my life was turned upside down. The year to follow was filled with surgery, chemo and radiation. As bad as it was I feel lucky to have survived as I know sadly many don’t.

Being a single women I was scared and lost. But my family and friends rallied behind me and lifted my spirits and helped me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without them. Now I’m going through the regular monitoring that we all go through and trying to grow this crazy curly hair!

I’m doing the Susan G Komen race for the cure for myself and for all other women that are, have or will go through this. I look forward to sharing the day with family and survivor friends. Best wishes to all!
