Painful truth

I was diagnosed Jan. 22 with DCIS. They told me due to where it was at, the only cure is double mastectomy. Surgery in April, infection right side. Removal of expander and now next surgery was Aug. 31. Starting the fills. I have been an emotional mess, lots of support but it has been a roller coaster for sure!! Get your mammograms! I am a survivor due to early detection and I am only 48, diagnosed at 47!! Still have a ways to go but no treatments. Still painful, truth is it happened, but I am alive!!
