Runs in the family but doesn’t!

We caught it early by MRI (not on mammogram or ultrasounds) because of family history. DCIS, SMX with reconstruction. Next month 1 year survivor. Mother DCIS 1 year survivor and Maternal Aunt HERS+ 15 year survivor. None of us have the BRCA gene? Grateful, thankful and blessed! Breast Cancer made me reevaluate what I find most important in my life and things I needed to let go of. It’s made me feel more present and has been such a blessing in disguise! Advice I could give would be to reflect, give yourself grace and daily affirmations of how truly strong you are. You have survived everyday of your life thus far and will continue to!
