TNBC Survivor

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer after my yearly mammogram. I received chemotherapy, had a lumpectomy and received 30 radiation treatments and immunotherapy. I lost my hair and I felt that I lost myself; I didn’t know who I was. I cried and was angry because this took over my life.

But, throughout my journey I told myself, no matter how I feel, I will get through this. There were times I just wanted to give up, but that’s not who I am, I didn’t give up, I kept on doing what I needed to do. I did it for those who aren’t able to and weren’t able to survive. I am blessed that I survived this journey. Now, I am here for anyone that needs me. I can hold their hand, I can pray with them, or just be there for them. No one should be alone through this.

I had a great support group; my boyfriend was with me every step of the way. My mom and family were there for me. Especially my friends, they were with me and never forgot to stay in touch.
