Survivor
I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in March of this year. I am a 33 year old mother of a 16 year old son and just recently finished chemotherapy and plan to undergo a few surgeries to remove the rest of the tumor. There is really no set plan when it comes to getting a diagnosis, you can never be prepared for everything that comes with this! Waiting until you are 40 to get a mammogram should not be the norm anymore, and if you feel anything (a lump or bump), get it checked immediately!!! It changes your entire life and flips it upside down completely, from finances to appearance, it’s all a change. Since I’m still in the midst of dealing with this I see it very clearly and I cannot wait to say that I’m a survivor…
